Vendor Insurance Requirements

We are excited to have you attend the 2023 Annual Pooch Parade!  We recognize some of the rescues and smaller vendors will not have Vendor insurance coverage.  If you do not have insurance as shown below, CARL will provide coverage for you.  We will purchase the coverage through the City.  The cost is estimated to be $25 per booth.  We cannot get a quote until we turn in a list of every vendor/non profit in need of coverage.  Please register by April 5 so we can include you in the event.  If you have the coverage, please send in your certificate by April 5.  If you have any questions please contact Sharon at carlmanager2@gmail.com.

City of Ventura Insurance Requirements

Please note, the auto liability requirement is required only if you will be driving your vehicle onto the event grounds before, during or after the event.

Permittee and its vendors shall supply evidence of General Liability, Auto Liability and, if alcohol is sold, distributed or served at the event, Liquor Liability insurance. Such policy(s) must be issued by an insurance company licensed to do business in the State of California with an AM Best rating of not less than A-. Such insurance shall be in the minimum amount of $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate (or $2 million as a combined single limit).

The City of San Buenaventura, its officials, agents, employees and volunteers shall be named as an additional insured under the General and Auto Liability and Liquor Liability policies of insurance. Coverage shall be endorsed as Primary and Non-Contributory.

If Permittee has employees working at the event in any capacity, Permittee shall also supply City with evidence of a valid Workers’ Compensation policy with statutory limits, and the policy must be endorsed with a Waiver of Subrogation.

A Certificate of Insurance must include the following language in the Certificate Holder box:

The City of San Buenaventura, its officials, agents, employees and volunteers shall be named as an additional insured under the General Liability and Auto Liability policies. All Liability policies are primary and Non-Contributory.  Waiver of Subrogation applies to the Worker’s Compensation policy. 30 day notice of cancellation will be provided to the Certificate Holder.
